What is remedial massage? Remedial massage is used to improve your body. Some benefits a client may get from a remedial massage are: less pain in muscles due to exercise, improved posture, increase range of motion (e.g. being able to look left and right better), less knots, adhesions and scar tissue.
Reflexology is massage of the feet and has numerous benefits, not only to your feet, but to your whole body. Around the outside of the ankle you have a bone, this area relates to your lower back, so by massaging around this bone, you may feel less pain in your lower back. If you have a sore lower back, it can be due to tight muscles elsewhere, so it is important to talk to your therapist. Try to remember what aggravated your pain, what makes it feel better and what makes it feel worse.
Is remedial massage for me? If you are unsure if massage can help you, come in and explain your situation. Your therapist will explain the options and if necessary refer you on to someone who may be able to better assist you.
